Britain's general union, open to anyone

GMB is a campaigning trade union focused on protecting members in their workplaces and growing the union's power. It is a general union, meaning anyone can join, with almost 630,000 members working in every part of the economy.

GMB offers protection, representation and advice on every work-related issue, often through voluntary Workplace Organisers backed by full-time Organisers and a team of legal, health and safety, pension and HR specialists.

GMB has existed for over 12 decades, formed as a number of unions merged over the last 120 years to become Britain's General Union.
